Update from the States

I won’t have too much to write because I’m late for a church service, but I wanted to keep you all updated. It’s been a really hard week, but fruitful as well. I’m growing so much spiritually, staying with our pastor and his family (here in Lenexa)! My strength is growing and growing, which is what I need because, as things are now, I don’t have any money for anything, let alone to buy my ticket back to Brazil. We’re going to work something out (Cesar’s working on it mostly from his side… I hope), but as of right now Skype isn’t even accepting my card to let me talk to him…. Maybe tomorrow (I moved what was left from our other account to be able to talk to him and put gas in our car).

So… yes, we’re financially tight. Yes, we run the risk of losing our car and our things in storage. But, yes, I know that God is in control, and I’m working on getting some jobs running while I’m here, and talking with the people I owe about a bit of mercy for just a few more months.

What did the lawyer say? Basically, keep up the strength and the hope! This is indeed the hardest part and it may get harder, but from then on it only gets better (okay, I’m elaborating a bit, but I believe this)! There’s been some (even as recently as last week) who have come back in just 4 months, others in a year. But I just have to keep on top of things, send difficulty packets, testimonials, if any of you want to write about difficulties you’ve felt/witnessed/etc., feel free. I’ll be writing and sending difficulty reports every month and will talk to my state rep (would it be effective if family talked to their state reps as well)? I’m going to push and push hard. Other siding businesses here are thriving, so I’m hopeful about recovery as soon as we can get Cesar back here. We have things in Brazil, but even money loses a lot of value coming from Brazil to the USA. We do what we can.

Audrey misses her dad and that’s very difficult. She calls for him, is sometimes very difficult (more every day). I thank God that we’re staying where we are and she has a little friend to keep her company and distracted.

Keep praying and I’ll keep updating.
