Traveling Prayer Requests

Below is my family update from our family website, but I think it is appropriate and more viewed here on the blog:

The time has come! We are packing our boxes, putting things in storage, securing our business and packing our bags. Brazil is no longer something in the theoretical future, but we have bought the tickets, Audrey has her passports and I have my visa. Are we nervous? Absolutely! The future is filled with doubts and plans we can’t make. Are we excited? You bet! I’m finally meeting the family I joined 3 years ago, and Cesar is reuiniting with his parents after 8 years of separation! It’s powerful stuff. Our lives are filled with dreams, laughter, tears, nerves, hopes, stomach upsets. Our immune systems have been a testimony to our ups and downs. We ask for your prayers and also that you rejoice with us. Please pray specifically for the following;

1– Our trip schedule is as follows (in case you want to pray us through the process): May 12, 4:30ish pm our plane takes off from Kansas City to Houston, then from Houston to Sao Paulo. We arrive in Sao Paulo on May 13 around 8:30am, and will go from the airport to Cesar’s doctor’s appointment. We need the results of that appointment to take with us to Rio de Janeiro. We will travel to Rio on the 19th, and Cesar’s interview will take place on the 23rd at 7:15am. After we are done with all business relating to the interview, we will then travel to Brasilia to see Cesar’s sister (it breaks the trip into manageable segments). From there we will go on to Cesar’s parents’ in Para, and will remain there until it is time for us to take the trip back. With or without Cesar, I will have to return to the USA in August.

2– Pray for our travel plans. The only ones we have confirmed are our flights to and from Brazil, but we do not yet have plans as to how we will get around, to and from Sao Paulo and Rio.

3– Pray for peaceful hearts all around regardless of what happens.

4– For the health and successful continuance of our business in our absence.

5– For some semblence of financial stability

6– For a happily memorable visit!

The year 2017 has already been a hectic year for our family! We started the year with classes in preparation for Audrey and I to go to Cuba and, days before our departure, I participated in a weekend
